How long to fix landline?

I reported loss of dial tone, inability to make or take calls and no internet on September 24th. I used the text system to report these faults but, on checking my account I was shown a page declaring there were no faults. I subsequently reported the fault via live chat and the fault did then appear as "no dial tone"

This fault remains unresolved and, BT have, of their on volition and without explanation, now added a second fault "slow connection".

Any suggestions on as to how long this situation might continue or how I might speed things up?
