OK, noted. i'll still install new connect when received and update on here
@PaddyB gave that a try anyway, but the flashing 4g red bars come on immediately after reset while green circle flashing. Plugged in cable, went to solid blue but still with the red bars.
Looks like it's a case of waiting for the software fix.
So here's my update
New hyvrid connect received today (can't fault the speed of receiving a replacemnet) It's still a BT one not an EE.
Plugged in etc. Solid blue bars whilst hybrid connects to hub.
Once connected sold bars stay blue
Hybrid goes to reconnect 6 minutes later and the result once I get a solid blue centre light is:
FLASHING RED BARS
So no surprise then and we wait for it to be rectified bt BT.
Extremely grateful for everyone who has contributed here. It certainly helps knowing your not the onyl one that it has happened to.
I'll post once I know anything further and hope pthers will as well
I have exactly the same problem - thought I was going mad as the Hybrid is connected via ethernet cable and sits directly beside the router. Tried resetting, and goodness knows what else - have lost count. Thank goodness I have found this thread. BT need to do something about this - it's getting on my nerves now
Hi all,
I have the same problem. I have tried the fixes mentioned and still have the flashing red lights on the 4G.
I have spoken to BT a few times over the last week, but today I have been told that it is a known problem and that BT are working on a software fix. They are hoping to send the fix out over the next week or 2.
Fingers crossed.
It would have saved a lot of us (BT staff included) a lot of time if they had announced this via their website or elsewhere
I have a solid blue bar😀
Hybrid connect still not showing under enthernet connections to hub though but does show as connected to smart hub
My HC is now back running normally this morning.
I assume it was a software update overnight as I haven't done anything new.
All good here now.
excellent
