Loss of Broadband
Hi guys I have a BT 2 hub I have removed a unused telephone socket which had 2 Cables going to it
I have joined the wires blue to blue, orange to orange etc and now I have no Broadband.Purple flashing light on the hub.
Have I blown something.
Any help much apreciated

What were you actually trying to achieve?
The incoming openreach wiring needs to be connected to terminals A&B on backplate of master socket. Disconnect any other wiring and connect hub to the broadband socket on master socket and see if hub now goes blue

Hi I Am just removing a unused telephone socket from from the lounge wall
we don’t use a land line phone in the house so no need for the sockets
I will try your suggestion in the morning.
