Exact same problem here. Sky Q started disconnecting continually this week (Feb 21). Changed to wireless mode 2 and Sky now all good but all the BT discs disconnected. Tried the regular reset and they won't connect. Purple to red to flashing blue - app shows the discs connecting and disconnecting continually every few seconds. Back to mode 1 and the discs work but Sky stuffed again.
Over to you BT - don't you have systems tests there before you make these dreadful changes?
