Notify change of name

Hello,

I would like to notify BT that my name has changed, but I cannot find any information on their website how to do this.

Also I really do not like using the telephone (and I appreciate the irony) but there seems to be no other contact method available over than this forum.  The help link on the Contact Us page just goes though various pages of which none deal with changing details other than on MyBT.

But I cannot use MyBT as I assume BT will want to see my deed poll, which also means contacting via telephone would be unsuitable anyway.

So is there an email address I can send the details to, or at least a postal address so I can send them that way?

Hi @maikeru, welcome to the forum and thanks for posting. 

Sorry that you cannot find a process other than calling in to update your name. We can change your name but we would need to speak with you to complete security validation. If you are happy to do this with us then post back and let me know. 

If you prefer you can send the paperwork with a letter outlining your request to:

and our correspondence team will update the account for you.

I will send my request by post as that seems the best method for me.
