I am due to move into a brand new property in the next 7 days. Openreach have confirmed the lines are ready to be taken over by any service provider. I've called 9 different service providers and all have confirmed they can't help me because the address is "not ready for service". I called Openreach again who told me that they cannot help me and that the service provider needs to do an ORDI request. I called BT back and relayed this information and was told that neither he, nor his supervisor had ever heard of an ORDI request and that they couldn't help me. I don't know what else to do? Please can someone help me?

Does the new property have FTTP installed?

@Philippa123

Are you intending to use BT Retail as your provider?

If not, then this forum cannot help with your problem.

Re: ORDI

Then ring the FTTP team on 0800 587 4787. If necessary they will be able to raise an ORDI.

Let us know how you get on.

Success!!!!

Thank you so much for this number. James was able to help me and I’ve now got a broadband connection date set up for a couple of weeks time.  Thanks again
