Hi,
I seem to be getting very high packet loss on 31.55.186.177 and 31.55.186.181 - When doing anything such as pinging Google's DNS (8.8.8.8) to online gaming or any applications.
I see these IP addresses have also been reported previously for malfunctioning.
This has also been going on for around 2 weeks now.
Is there a quick fix for this in the mean time such as changing routing table (PC or Router)?
Any help much appreciated.
Download and run the free version of PingPlotter and post the results.
HI,
I'll already used this and it is dropping on hop 3. Normally with one of the two IP addresses posted.
Regards,
Then post a screenshot of the plot.
Hi,
The Plotter shows a 80-100% PL drop at the two IP addresses. No need to show a screenshot of which.
All I am looking for is a solution for it.
So is there packet loss at the final destination? If not, any packet loss indicated at intermediate nodes is meaningless. Packets don't get lost and then magically re-created. It is just those nodes too busy to respond to pings.
The packet loss which is occurring at the two IP addresses both lead onto packet loss at the end of the route. So packet loss is present from hop 3 till the end of the route.

Fair enough, good luck with that.
Any update?
