Peaktime throughput speed less than half minimum speed guarantee.

So coming across a post yesterday about throughput speeds in the evening with pocket loss. I'm also going through the same issues. I do a lot of online gaming and play Fortnite "yes I know lol" you get a in game tool that lets you see your connection. For the past 3 weeks in the evening my speeds go from around 71Mbps to anything from 22-40Mbps but the packet loss is unbearable and I can see 15 to 30% at time with red lines from the in game tool available. My PS4 Pro and iMac are hard wired through ethernet. They are the only things connected by Ethernet. Other devices are over WiFi. I had a Openreach person out last week and he confirmed that something was going on and could see the speeds in the low speeds in the evening from what I showed him. He looked over everything in my house but didn't find anything wrong. He also put a new master socket in MK4 5c but went away asking me to keep an eye on things over the coming days. @imjolly asked me to post some info of my own so hopefully this can get looked in to more.

I can't put my phone number in to the dslchecker as I was on the digital voice trial for over the last 12 months. Ever since then I've not been able to use my phone number.  All I get is there is no data available for this number etc but my address checker is this.

Re: Peaktime throughput speed less than half minimum speed guarantee.

Speeds are fine at the moment It's normally after 8-8:30pm when things go downhill. One thing I would say that bt wholesale speed checker always gives me higher speeds that I don't have as I just did one just now and said 219Mbps and 18Mbps even thou I'm on FTTC and only get 80Mbps. I've screenshot one from just now.Screenshot 2020-08-24 at 19.09.28.png

Re: Peaktime throughput speed less than half minimum speed guarantee.

Right so it's now after 9pm and I've been gaming for over a hour now with the packet loss now coming in the evening and reduced speed. Kids in bed me and the wife down stairs. This is a screen shot of the in game tool in Fortnite from my PS4.

Re: Peaktime throughput speed less than half minimum speed guarantee.

It's an odd one as normally you expect peak time congestion to happen more 5/6pm and go on until 10/11pm and then speeds return to normal.  Is it possible that there could be something running in the background which could be causing the slower speed but not starting until 9pm

Re: Peaktime throughput speed less than half minimum speed guarantee.

I've only got 2 devices connected to the Hub by ethernet my PS4 Pro and my iMac. I've only then got my iPhone and my wife's iPhone and main Sky Q box in the living room that's it. All other kids devices are off because they are in bed.

Re: Peaktime throughput speed less than half minimum speed guarantee.

Right so it's now happening in the day as well now. Playing some online games and getting packet loss in STW in Fortnite and getting reduced speeds also.
