Poor phone signal and Wifi

Does anyone know whether, even if the phone signal is poor, when you use Wifi connection to your internet the signal improves?? The problem has been that when online sometimes you need a password to come into your phone by text and some people wait for ages for this but I feel that if they have Wifi then this should not happen.

Any thoughts on this??

Thanks for taking the time to post your question.

This particular service would fall under what is called Wi-Fi Calling. It's dependent on the type of phone that you have and if it's supported.

I think or phones already do this but some people were insure what was possible.
