Re: Home Hub 5 wifi slow 5ghz only

Apologies, but I’m piggybacking on this thread as I have a similar problem with Home Hub 6. I’ve had problems for some months with dropouts and slow speeds. Much research (I’m not a techie) has led me to give the two signals separate names and to disable the WPS button. Each improved things for a while. Again, though, I’ve started having problems but only with the 5Ghz signal. I have a 50Mbps connection and I’m generally getting a slow, but acceptable, 40Mbps download on 2.4Ghz but typically only around 10Mbps on 5Ghz which is also subject to dropouts.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Stay safe

Re: Home Hub 5 wifi slow 5ghz only

I moved your post to start your own thread to avoid confusion with previous post originator

if you split the networks did you also select the channels manually instead of leaving on auto. I would use a wifi analyser on your mobile to see the surrounding networks and channels in use so you can select a less congested channel
