Samsung smart TV no longer connecting

Hi,

I have 2 Samsung smart TVs.  Both are connected direct by ethernet to my smart hub 2.  A few weeks ago the older TV stopped connecting to the internet.  It connects to the router but says there is no internet available.  All other devices, including the other Samsung TV connect without issue.  I can connect the TV to my phone's hot spot to update and use all the smart features so I know it can connect.

I know some people had similar issues and tried their solutions with no joy.  Having googled and looked on this forum I have tried factory resetting the router, set the TV DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, set the IP address to 192.168.1.40, unplugged the TV for 10 minutes, reset TV through the hidden engineer menu.  

Any other ideas?

Hi Keith,

 

Thanks for the quick response.  Unfortunately that hasn't worked.  I'm still getting the same problem.  I don't know if it matters, after I change the connection settings the TV very occasionally thinks it has connected only to drop the connection seconds later.  The connection through my mobile hot spot was stable.
