Should my download be faster than 32mbps

Hi,

Been using infinity 2 since late 2015 when I first got it I was getting 40+mbps but over the years it has been getting slower and every time i re-contracted the guaranteed minimum has dropped from

this in december 2015 (this was when FTTC first became available for me)

to this in december 2016

Here are the details from broadband availability checker

and from btwholesale speedtest

From smarthub2

I have asked about this when re-contracting but perhaps let them fob me off a bit too easily..

Thanks

Re: Should my download be faster than 32mbps

in order for the forum members to help please can you post the stats from your router (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser) and if  HH5 then go to troubleshooting then helpdesk and if HH6/SH2 then advanced settings then technical log information .

Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem

Re: Should my download be faster than 32mbps

with a connection time of 40 days you have a good stable connection and your 35mb connection speed good with attainable of 39mb well within your estimated range from dslchecker

as more people are added to your cabinet especially if you were one of first your connection speed will reduce over time due to crosstalk

with a connection speed of 35mb then a download speed of 32mb is consistent
