Slow broadband speed

I have already posted a query on this and got no reply. There seem to be no later posts on slow bb speeds since 2018!!!

My bb speed is diabolical, taking 1 - 2 minutes to open up on to net and a further 1 - 1.5 minutes to get on to email. I have spent 4 hours today trying to get some results from BT without success. The service is appalling. I've tried repeatedly to get to the Chat line, but it seems to have disappeared. I have tried to go to Fix The Problem and to Test BB Speed and in both cases, gave up after 25 minutes trying. If I don't get some joy within the next 24 hours I am leaving BT altogether after thirty years as a customer. Why should I pay £60  odd for a pathetic, pointless service which is currently hiding behind Corona Virus to avoid answering questions?

Re: Slow broadband speed

welcome to the BT community forum where customers help customers and only BT employees are the forum mods  I cannot see any posts by you before unless you posted under different name.

your post does not go to BT  as this is a community forum so you are not going to get a reply from BT so need to leave or maybe forum can help you

in order for the forum members to help please can you post the stats from your router (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser) and if  HH5 then go to troubleshooting then helpdesk and if HH6/SH2 then advanced settings then technical log information .

Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal

enter your phone number and post results  remember to delete number   https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL

Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem
