Smart Hub 2 - Always use this IP address - Defaulting to Yes

I've just upgraded to the Smart Hub 2 and noticed all my devices have been added with IP address reservation i.e. "Always use this IP address" enabled for every device.  Is this normal?

Apparently. It seems to do that on my hub.

Ok, thanks for confirming.  Feels like there should be a global setting somewhere to control the default behaviour, but I can't see one.

Agreed, unlikely to be an issue for 99% of users, but it's definitely atypical behaviour. I've never seen any device (home or enterprise) auto reserve an IP as soon as it's assigned.

True, but as the BT home hub is aimed at the mass market, I guess they think they are helping by giving users consistent IP addresses. Although I suspect that even if you disable address reservation the hub will still issue the same address each time!
