I have an at best a 3.5Mb download and 0.8Mb upload ADSL2 connection.
I have tried the USO postcode checker and apparently I’m eligible.
How do I apply, is there an online form?
Have you checked here to see what products are available?? You might be able to get FTTC, G-Fast or FTTP.. All these will give you a faster connection
have you also checked the mobile connectivity and the speed available on mobile as that also counts
Did you have a read through the helpful "USO Your Questions Answered" post supplied by the moderators of the forum?
Thanks for your reply
I changed from ADSL to FTTC earlier this year but had to revert to to DECREASE in download speed and the frequency of dropped connections.
FTTP is not available at my rural location and I have no idea what G-Fast is.
When I try the BT USO website it just offers me a 4G hub. Unfortunately EE mobile doesn't work here either.
I've now spoken with the universal service obligation team who are to confirm when application has been submitted.
Here's hoping to a reasonable service in the foreseeable future!
