Upgrade to Fibre Optic

I upgraded about a month ago, seems like years and was told I wouldn't be charged for engineer call outs and have a mini hub so internet would be always available.   I have had so much trouble since and have not had one week of trouble free internet, yet before I had hardly any trouble with it.   I have had a couple of engineers round and they couldn't find the fault, they have refreshed the line, put the hub back to factory settings, put in a new socket and still it drops.  I just can't trust it and wonder if I can go back to my old hub which is preferable to this new one.  Last night I couldn't do much at all, it just dropped all evening.   I have used the mini hub five times since I got it and the first couple of times they made sure I had the right speeds to play a game I use everyday but the last three times I have been unable to use it at all and when I question them they say they can't change the mini hub but of course they did originally but now they are just fobbing me off all the time.    What to do, any suggestions?

Re: Upgrade to Fibre Optic

welcome to the BT community forum where customers help customers and only BT employees are the forum mods

in order for the forum members to help please can you post the stats from your router (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser) and if  HH5 then go to troubleshooting then helpdesk and if HH6/SH2 then advanced settings then technical log information .

Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal

enter your phone number and post results  remember to delete number   https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL
