Yes, its always a good idea to start with a clean config.
Probably won't matter, not sure if only 1 port is activated when in bridge mode. If so, it is likely to be either port1 or port4
Does the Business Smart Hub have a phone socket for Digital Voice on it like the Residential one?
If it does, then I wonder if BT Digital Voice will work if the hub is in modem only mode, as that would provide a solution to those people who want to use their own router with DV.
And if BT gave the option to enable modem mode on the SH2, that that would keep a lot of people happy.
No it doesn’t
just the usual usb 4 ethernet ports
i wish they did have this option. Virgin do it. Don’t see why BT don’t. It would make life easy for soo many people

This seems to say something, see the green socket. different https://btbusiness.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/55020/~/how-do-i-set-up-my-bt-business-smart...
Cool. So i take it the wan port is port 4.
the link you sent is a smart hub 2. I have sh1. It is not labelled wan but i will give port 4 a try first
thank you
Lets hope you do not have to use DV in the future.

You don't use a WAN port, that would be if you were using the hub as a router with a separate modem. However, port 4 may be the LAN port that is active when in modem mode.
