So what comes after 900mb, are we looking at 3Gig? How long before we do this and is it possible to be delivered on the existing FTTP Network provided by OpenReach?
It's perfectly possible to deliver 3Gb or more over the existing FTTP network not with GPON though. It will happen eventually, how long it will take is anyones guess ATM.
As you are looking to have a discussion rather than having a broadband problem resolved I have moved your post to this board which is more appropriate for discussions.
Is GPON the shared service 1:32? It’s interesting because Community Fibre are delivering it in London I wonder now?

I can't see how residential customers ever NEED 900Mb, let alone anything faster.
Not that long ago, it was sufficient bandwidth for a small country!
I wonder how community fibre are doing it, if it’s not possible with the 1:32 method
It’ll be cool to have, like the newest iPhone. I love tech!
