Whole Home WiFi and WiFi Calling

I have BT Broadband and a mesh WiFi network of three Whole Home WiFi discs - the original white ones. WiFi on the SmartHub2 is turned off. I have a Samsung A41 phone that was on BT Mobile, but has recently switched to EE. I set up WiFi Calling when I was on BT Mobile and re-enabled it when I moved to EE.

What I have noticed, (on both mobile networks), is that if I am on a mobile WiFi call at home and I move to another part of the house, and into the coverage of a different WHW disc, the call invariably drops out. This definitely happens with outgoing calls, but I'm not certain if it also happens on incoming calls.

I think that WiFi Calling is designed to hand over calls between WiFi and mobile networks, but is my experience to be expected? (ie should WiFi Calling hand over between WHW discs?)

Have others experienced this?
