Hello. I have been informed that there has been suspicious activity on my BT account. When trying to set a new password I have been asked to set up a BT ID which I have done. The problem occurs when I try to save my new password, I get an error message saying a problem has occurred please try again. I try again and the same thing happens so now i'm stuck in a loop at the password stage. I've tried web chat but it never connects and when I ring all I get is an automated message and then cut off. Any advice would be very much appreciated.
By what means were you informed of 'suspicious activity' on your account? Phone call? email? Text message?
Any of which could be a scam. Do you know if it was genuine?
It came to my attention when I tried to log into my email account via the BT site.
