We received promotional offer from BT, offering upgrade from current DSL to Fibre 100, so we took it. Only now were a bit confused, we received the order email, it says upgrade coming on 1st, but no mention of visit from engineer or provision of new router.
to go to this Full Fibre 100 with BT Halo 1, do we not need engineer visit to actually put in fibre or is it not fibre to premises but fibre to cabinet?
Just a bit confused.
Fibre 100 is a G.Fast product. No engineer required. A new hub will only be sent if required.
So its fibre to the cabinet, which one gives fastest but fibre to the home>
Yes G.Fast is FTTC.
How can i get them to give me an upgraded router though, the one we have works but its last generation
So we have accepted upgrade to Full Fibre 100, but from the other answer i got thats FTTC what is the first one that would need an engineer visit so we get FTTP?
maybe you cannot get FTTP hence why you can get G.Fast
enter your phone number and post results remember delete number https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL
unless your router is faulty then you will not get another router unless you upgrade to Halo 2
Seems strange that if you're upgrading to G.fast they're not sending out a new router or engineer as both are usually needed. The engineer in particular as usually they may need to change the master socket face plate etc
Test shows FTTP is available. So which is first package that would need it?
