@Garthy

How is your service currently provided?

Via an ONT I assume?

Re: fttp install

If FTTP is available then an engineer would be required to supply the fibre and fit the ONT. What does the CHECKER say when you input your phone number?

Re: fttp install

What is an external splitter box for FTTP? You seem to know more than we do.

Re: fttp install

i was told before the fibre cable had to be put through a box on the outside wall as it wasnt flexible and was told it was a splitter box

Re: fttp install

It's called a CSP and some installs have it and some don't - my fibre cable just goes straight through the outside wall to my ONT for example.  I think there were problems with the connector and OR are reverting to using an outside CSP - it's just a splice point where the external fibre optic cable is spliced to the internal cable.
