Hi basically I need help, every day at random times my by fibre internet will jump out and in disrupting everything on the network (video games freeze and Alexa Spotify stops) whilst this happens the homehub shows no signs of issues but there obviously is, bt say nothing is wrong on their end and I've tried splitting bands
With no avail, I read on someone's else's problem that u can ring a number on your landline and hit 2, I did tht with no problems please I'm loosing my mind and am tempted to switch if I don't find a fix I've been trying to fix for ages, I've even got a new hub (home hub 5) and still no avail
welcome to the BT community forum where customers help customers and only BT employees are the forum mods
in order for the forum members to help please can you post the stats from your router (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser) as HH5 then go to troubleshooting then helpdesk
Are ypthe drops in connection you mention only on wireless or does it happen when using Ethernet connection
Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal
have you turned of smart setup
enter your phone number and post results remember to delete number https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL
Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem
Both wireless and wired
Yes I've done the quiet line and seems fine
I did see on other issues to try the test socket? Well I did that and the issue continued
Smart hub is off 🙂
