I'm transgender (female to male) and I have been with bt since 2009 which was prior to my legal name change in 2016.
The account bills and emails all still show my previous name, this includes any mailing sent to my address.
Is there any way to change an account name without cancelling a contract and starting over? I've just renewed a 24 month contract so cancelling to only reinstate isn't really an option.

Hi @ValHalla1, welcome to the forum, and thanks for posting. You will be able to change your name on the account as long as you pass the security check. You can call in and our customer services will be happy to do it.
Alternatively, I've sent you a Private Message so you can get in touch with the Mod team and we'll also be happy to update this for you.
