poor speeds on FTTP

I have recently upgraded to FTTP from vdsl I was averaging about 63 meg on VDSL I am using the wi-fi set up, the same channels but now I am seeing about 11meg throughput could it be a faulty router anyone experienced the same issue

The website won’t let me upload the photo because the files too big I use fast.com I am only getting 18meg

Use a free compression site such as this to reduce the file size. Compress. What speed do you get with a wired connection?

Hard wired when it was installed I was getting 290meg it’s a WiFi issue I have changed all the wi-fi channels on both bands still the slow I am using fast.com to test on a Mac book pro and iPhone 12 and using two disc,s

So on ethernet appears OK but problems on WiFi  there are no guarantees on speed over wifi

Did you turn of smart setup

 

Turn Off smart setup

So if my speeds where stable on copper but have now dipped on fibre the only thing to have changed is the technology suppling the service I would expect the performance of the WiFi to improve not slow down do I have a faulty router ??
