Yes, that would be great. And many thanks once again for all your help.
If you need any help with the bandwidth controls on the W9970, then please ask.
Thanks Keith but have sorted the bandwidth controls out, looking good at the moment.

Hi @Keith_Beddoe thanks for clarifying what's needed 🙂

The upload issue is being addressed by using the TP Link router. Its simply that some devices are using up all of the small upload bandwidth which is affecting the performance of other devices, by delaying the TCP/IP ACKs, so some form of priority and bandwidth controls need to be applied, and this facility is not available on the home hub.
Its always a bit of a compromise on an ADSL connection, and can even affect VDSL, if the upload speed is poor. Its something that people do not realise, they assume that download speed is not affected by upload speed, and then wonder why things grind to a halt, when they upload a large file!

Excellent 😀
You can play around with the settings, to see what works out best.
Remember that any "minimum" settings actually reserved that bandwidth, so you have to be careful to do not reserve it all, otherwise you will get a warning.
For uploads, I usually set a minimum of 10Kbs, to allow for TCP ACKs, otherwise the device can grind to a halt, just on web browsing.
In your case, the device priority is more likely to be the main factor in improving things, as it still allows full bandwidth to be allocated, during idle periods, otherwise uploading could take forever.
Hi @mike101 thanks for speaking with me this afternoon, the change to your profile has completed so the target SNR is 6db again, I can see this has had a positive effect on both the upload and download speeds. I'll follow up again with you tomorrow and make sure its been stable after the changes.
Cheers
Neil
Thanks Neil, yes I saw that, all good so far.
What are the DSL stats now showing on the TP Link?
