wifi & Admin password issues on brand new hub 2.

Go to solution

Evening all, So today I received a brand new smarthub 2, upon installing, neither the wifi password or admin password are working.

I have tried the usual of factory reset with a pin, connected via ethernet, this lets me in however as admin password doesn't work then it wont allow me to change the SSID or Password, I have also tried to do a admin password over ride. again as the admin password isn't liked then that doesn't work either.

i have managed to connect 1 device via WPS and also spoke to BT who changed the password so i can log wifi devices on however i still cant change admin password or SSID.

any ideas??? thanks.

(also its nothing silly like 0 and o)

If a factory reset hasn't solved the problem, the only thing to do is to get a replacement hub from customer services. Be insistent that it is faulty.

There's the possibility that you've been sent a reconditioned one that hadn't been reset back to factory spec and the previous person had changed the passwords...

Which a factory reset would have cleared had the hub not been faulty.
