BT Smart Hub 2 manager and Windows 11

Go to solution

My laptop running Windows 10 is happy to let me talk to my Smart Hub 2 manager via 192.168.1.254 via a browser.

My new Windows 11 laptop will not come up with a screen for the hub manager, either displaying a blank screen or occasionally shown raw HTML.

Any thoughts on this would be welcome.

Richard, I run Windows 11 and using Edge is fine. Have you tried Chrome or another browser. Sorry not much help really.

Moggy56,

I am grateful for that thought, I have not used a microsoft browser for years!

Fails on Edge, Firefox and Chrome.

On digging deeper, i get blank screen with 192.168.1.254, raw html and a not secure message with http://192.168.1.254 and finally a red not secure warning screen with https://192.168.1.254.

This last screen permits me to then continue and arrive at the hub home page.

So my problem is nearly solved. Just need to find the bit of software that is trying to protect me from my hub which does not have a security certificate!

Your hub is only accesible on your home LAN hence it is http and not https.

It may be your browser causing the issue do check in its settings or in your Antivirus program.
