I recently purchased a BT3960 phone from Argos. I asked that as the base unit and accompanying phone has to be plugged into the router, whether incoming calls could be muted on this phone and taken by the other phone, sited elsewhere. Their answer was that this could be done.
However, I am unable to do this. If the ‘do not disturb’ button is pressed on the base unit phone, the other phone also is muted. If I lower the volume to zero on the base unit phone, then as soon as there’s an incoming call this, as well as the other phone rings. Any suggestions?

Hi @Tracy1805
If you won't be using the handset which sits in the cradle of the main base unit, you could set the base units own volume to zero, and simply switch that base-unit handset off completely.
The only active handset will be the one sited elsewhere in the separate charger station.
