Re: Cr@ppy Smart Hub 2

Well, if I got one, it would be in a cupboard so I don't care about the "ugly".

Didn't realise it was bigger though.  @chrisjp  you got the approx. measurements on that?

Re: Cr@ppy Smart Hub 2

Almost absolutely bonkers that one can buy a brand new EE Smarthub 7 plus for less than 30 quid delivered from the bay of E.

Re: Cr@ppy Smart Hub 2

@gg30340 Thanks for that.

So not much bigger than the SH2 then.  Main difference is the depth.  5cm is about twice the depth.  Not a problem.

Sorry, my typo. The SH3 is 50mm deep!

Re: Cr@ppy Smart Hub 2

No problem.  I'd rather assumed that was 50mm (5cm).

Obviously the night for it.  Just had an AI tell me the power consumption of another printer is 7W.  I happen to know that's supposed to be 70W.

Yup: the EE Smarthub 6 Plus is 286mm long by 182mm high,
while the BT Smarthub 2 is 250mm long by 160mm high

Re: Cr@ppy Smart Hub 2

That's the only thing preventing me from buying a EE wifi 7 router. Way too tall and white

My current EE wifi 6 fit's the tv cabinet perfectly and matches the tv and soundbar.

The only alternative is to do what Kimbo does and place it behind the tv but I doubt it will be as effective there.

Re: Cr@ppy Smart Hub 2

@Kodikid  I suspect you’d find that putting the router behind the TV would make a negligible difference.

The TV, unless you’re watching some ancient bit of kit from the 20th Century, will be shielded so unlikely to cause any interference.

As I say, my router works absolutely fine behind my TV and 5ghz WiFi reaches throughout my house just fine. That could well however be due to efficiency of the router with its 8 spider leg aerials. It’s a Tp-Link GX90. Look it up, you’ll see what I mean 😆
