Where I live is subject to frequent power cuts, hence my purchase of a CyberPower battery backup. I already have a more powerful UPS for computer and monitor. Instead of connecting my CyberPower direct to the mains, if I connected it through my main UPS would this extend battery life during a power cut?
Well your CyberPower battery wouldn’t be drained at all while connected to your UPS as it’ll think the mains is still connected. I suppose from an efficiency perspective you’re adding a couple of watts for the CyberPower unit, plus the hub (14 watt I think) to your UPS load. But why have the CyberPower pack in any case if you’ve got the UPS?
