I want to extend my wifi (Smart Hub 2) and am considering picking up a cheap black wifi extender disc. Will I have any issues getting it to work, assuming it is fault-free?
I contacted BT about getting an extender disc, but they would only provide one by increasing my monthly fee, and that works out at over £100 per year.

If you can find a genuine BT black "Complete WiFi" disc to buy, then yes, it'll work if fault free (of course). A quick Google search shows a few for sale, not sure how the vendors get them since they are normally just sent by BT to its customers if they have an appropriate contract.
Just to be clear, I have BT Business Hub. Will that still work OK?
No idea, ask on the business forum
eBay is seemingly awash with WiFi discs. Just like all the BT and EE routers that somehow never make it back to the returns centre.
Just for completeness, I wanted to let you know that I bought a second hand extender and it works fine with my Smart Hub 2 on a business account.
Thanks for the update, good to know it works.
