This equipment is literally the biggest waste of money going. I have the white discs and they lose connection with one another on a daily basis. It’s pathetic, there is no reason why these discs when they are less a dozen metres away from each other should be so bad. Literally plastic paper weights. Also have paid out for BT full fibre now and still bounce down to 40mb from the 900mb I pay for. Absolute joke. Steer clear if you can. Don’t pay for this waste of money.

the solution as always is to reset all the discs and reset up the network.

i end up doing this pretty much every month and for now all staying connected but shouldn’t have to hard reset all the discs.

My experience with full fibre so far is pretty much the same.  In my office I am getting download speeds of 30 - 50 Mb/s and even right next to the hub it's only half the guaranteed 700.

I was promised a new wifi disc to extend the zone covered, as the original one did not work, but several days later I have received nothing.

The Openreach engineer was rude and arrogant and persuaded me against installing the hub where I wanted it, so now we have ugly wires the full height of the front of our Grade 2 listed house and the wifi is rubbish because it's in the wrong place - worse than the old one.

Total waste of money and time.

WIFI is a difficult beast to master, there is alot to it, unfortunately with faster broadband speeds becoming the norm....WIFI technology hasnt advanced to a point where it will pass through walls or deal with interference any better than it used to. The 900Mbps or the 700 guaranteed is there at the router and only there.

With respect to Wholehome, which I used for years, the basic discs....its not the be all and end all of WIFI. The more discs you get the worse it gets, each hop between a disc will half your bandwidth, all the discs operate on the same channel interfering with each other, really they all need wiring back to the router, the Premium discs wire to each other in a chain and the basic ones, which are better for this reason, can be wired individually back to the router....then each disc has full access to the speed.

Trust me, if you want 600Mbps + in each room on WIFI then youre going to need to spend alot of time and effort doing that, Wholehome wont do that and the ISP router wont do that either.
