I have a Bush smart tv (just purchased) and a bt box about 7 yrs old. I want to be able to have the Bush tv remote to be able to control both the tv and the box if possible. On my previous tv (Samsung) the bt remote had the bias and all I used the Samsung for was to turn the tv on and control the volume. With the new tv being more advanced and having different apps to the bt box, it would be preferable to use the Bush remote. Also, I could never adjust the settings on the Samsung without disconnecting the bt box. Sorry, I'm not very technically minded! Thank you for any help I can get!

Hi @bigkeith,
Welcome to the BT Community
It can be possible to setup other remotes to control the BT TV box but may not be possible with all remote/box combinations. We do have some knowledgeable TV users who may be able to offer some advice.
What model is your TV and what model of TV box do you have? You can check on the TV box in Settings> Device information on the box menus, or on the back/bottom of the TV box as well.

Hi there, thank you for your reply. My tv is a Bush 65ut24sb and is a yr 24 model and 65 inch screen.
The bt box is a standard one, about 7yrs old, model 91-00438.
I can obviously work around this problem but it's a pain having to juggle with two remotes and never knowing when its going to come up with a "no signal or error" code. Thanks for your help.
Kind regards
Keith
@bigkeith Thanks for coming back with those details, from what I can see there isn't any simple way that would allow you to control that BT Youview box with your TV remote and have full functionality.
It should be pretty simple doing it the other way with the BT box controlling the basic TV functions like you had with your previous TV, if you did want to set that up. You should be able to by following the steps here How do I control my TV with my TV remote control? | BT Help
Other than that you are probably best just switching between the two as needed even though it can be a bit of a pain.

Hi Alex,
Thanks for replying. Yes, I agree. I will do the workaround and am sure I will get used to it.
Thanks again for your help and advice. It is much appreciated
Best wishes
Keith
