Returning router

I have just switched to ee and need to return my BT router. It's new in the last year. ee said they would send a Royal Mail label but they didn't. Don't want to be stung for £65 but equally don't have the hours needed to ring bt or ee to get a label sent! Any advice? Thank you.

Re: Returning router

You've listed the only 2 options open to you. Your choice as to which you decide to go with.

Re: Returning router

If you call BT 0330.1234.150 you can request that they send one out to you.

Make sure you keep a copy of your Proof of Posting and if possible take a photograph of it in case you somehow lose the paper copy.

Failing that just keep the router and when you get the bill reflect on why you didn't do as you obviously know what you should have done!

Re: Returning router

Bit confused why EE would offer to send a returns label as EE have absolutely nothing to do with the BT router's return process.

If you haven't heard anything regarding the router being returned it could be with it being relatively new that BT/EE expect you to carry on using it with your new EE broadband.

You won't suddenly be landed with a bill for the router as BT in all fairness give ample warning that they want it back.

I really wouldn't worry because trust me when BT want it back you'll be the first to know.

Re: Returning router

Thanks. We are using the new ee router so BT one is surplus to requirements. Finally got through to them on the back of a billing issue and label is being sent.

Re: Returning router

As a matter of interest how are you finding the EE router in comparison to the BT device?

Re: Returning router

I received an email titled ' We need your kit back ' after my move to my new ISP. The returns label was an attached .pdf file which you print and affix to your parcel.
