Re: SH2 Temperature

it can get quite warm to the touch but a lot will depend on where you have it sited and if there is good ventilation round the hub

Re: SH2 Temperature

IT equipment does tend to run very warm, especially Wi-Fi.

We had a rule of thumb when I was in the industry...if it's too hot to keep your hand on it continuously then it's too hot.

If you have any real doubts, though, it might be better to shut it down to be safe.

Re: SH2 Temperature

I've noticed that during the current hot weather spell, when indoor temperatures are higher than usual (typically 27-28C) my SH2 feels significantly hotter than usual, though still OK to keep my hand on it continuously. And I have WiFi turned off on the SH2 because I use a mesh WiFi system, so I guess it could be hotter if its WiFi was on.
