Re: Smart Hub 3 Firmware

Go to solution

It's the "Agile" development methodology.  Bung it out on the market as quickly as possible and fix any problems as you go along.  The "Waterfall" approach was much better, but development could take years.

Unfortunately, it's the same all over now.  I bought a Draytek 2767 back in April.  It's now up to its eighth iteration of the firmware and there are still basic bugs galore.  For example, you click on the link to register the device with Draytek and you just get "Page does not exist".

(For anyone else that has one, there was a firmware update to 5.4.0.2 a week ago on the Draytek international site.  The first one I've seen flagged as "Critical security update.  Update immediately".  A week later, the UK site is still offering 5.4.0.1 as the latest update.  Not impressed).

It's not just BT, unfortunately.

Re: Smart Hub 3 Firmware

To be honest with all the niggly shortcomings that should have been sorted during development phase of this hub it performs far better than my old Smart Hub 2.
I get full signal at the bottom of the garden and achieve promised download speed than all the promises made during Smarthub 2 adverts on TV, helicopter etc😂

Re: Smart Hub 3 Firmware

I've just had a heads up from a friend on the EE forum.  Apparently, this is the latest f/ware version for the EE hub and he believes it is the same one for the SH3.  The link gives some further information apparently.

FW: r4.26.3-R-1923144-PROD-83002 and the gui is at App version 3.14.5 12/06/2026 OP Posted
