Smart hub 2 ssid

Hi on the smart  hub 2 you can’t name the 2.4 and 5ghz ssid, but are you able to see both bands ie on my iPad i can see both bands the one I’m on and the other in the found list. I ask as we have to change Wi-Fi bands to use the printer and sonos on our phones and iPads. Many thanks

Re: Smart hub 2 ssid

Can you clarify what you mean? Both bands have the same SSID, you will only see one SSID listed for the hub on any device. It will be visible on both bands.

Re: Smart hub 2 ssid

Hi on my smart hub i put .5 on the end of the 5ghz ssid so I know which is which.

i don’t know why i need to switch Wi-Fi bands to use the printer and my sonos speakers (sometimes) is it the smart hub switching the bands or is it our iPhones, iPads and MacBooks.

i wanted to get a smart hub 2 but read that you cant rename the Wi-Fi  bands but if there both visible in the Wi-Fi  settings on our devices then that should be ok but if there’s only the one shown then that’s a problem. Thanks
