TV Box Pro

I have cancelled my BT TV contract but quite like the Box Pro.

I see that it is available on Amazon from apparently reputable sellers and was wondering whether those sales were legitimate. I just ask because no mainstream sellers of tech seem to sell the box, including EE themselves.

Re: TV Box Pro

CEX and ebay have plenty of them.

The pro box is simply a freeview pvr so it'll work perfectly without a subscription

Dont blame you for ditching EETV as anyone who pays almost double for not having now uhd or disney must be mad.

@northshields

You raise an interesting question about the legitimacy of EE/BT branded tech such as PVRs and routers that are available for sale on online marketplaces. eBay especially seems to be flooded with them. Makes one wonder exactly where all of these devices are coming from 🤔

Re: TV Box Pro

Given that the BT equipment return process is only matched by the Reward card scheme for comical inefficiency then it's hardly surprising .

It's probably harder to return one hassle free then to buy one.

Re: TV Box Pro

@northshields  As i understand it the TV Boxes supplied as part of a EETV (formerly BTTV) package since mid December 2019 have been supplied on a loan basis.  The Box Pro entered the EETV service after that date.  It is unclear as to how the sellers on the sites you mention acquired or sourced the boxes they are selling.  Some are probably  boxes that should have been returned to BT/EE. If a seller has acquired their boxes outside of the subscription route they shoukd be able to tell you.
