Hi - I've used Wholehome discs (3 discs) successfully for a couple of years with BT Broadband Full Fibre (broadband speed at hub c. 150mb, wifi speed measured by Fast.com of c. 140 mb)
BT broadband became too expensive so I've recently switched to Sky Broadband (sorry - nearly half the price !) on a similar package ie 150mb, and I've checked multiple times and this reflects the broadband speed I'm actually achieving. However, by Wholehome discs are now outputting speeds of only between 40mb to 60mb. So far I've tried the following ;
multiple resets (power down, then back on)
reset the network
swapped the lead disc (connected to the hub) and swapped the port on the hub its plugged into
Full system reset
I'm not sure its relevant, but I have the lead disc connected to the router, and that connects wirelessly to the second disc. The 3rd disc is on the other side of the house so is connected by an ethernet cable to another port on the router.
The discs all appear to be working property - all identifiable on the app, all showing solid blue LEDs, all showing good signal strength, but still I can only get wifi at half the speed I should be.
Has anyone got any ideas of how I can solve this please, as I'm running out of ideas ?
Thanks
Scooby
