Cannot Get Mail

Disastrously, I can't get BT emails. I have a message saying: 'Cannot Get Mail - the mail server "mail.internet.com" is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct account info in Mail settings' and then 'Server message "invalid user name or password'.

 

I have changed password, this hasnt helped.

What does "Verify..info in Mail settings" even mean? Which mail settings, where? On a device (Apple mac) or somewhere within my BT Email account?

I just got off the phone with them as I wanted to sort out a 2FA issue,  and they said all account access is down (email and BT accounts) due to overnight upgrade that has failed.

I said they should put a notice on main page so folks know at least, wondered why it took 45 mins to be answered, normally about 10 tops.  Least we know now.

Same issue here. Was ok earlier but now having errors when trying to login to webmail.

Admin/moderator team - is this being worked on?

I have tried on phone, tablet and chromebook and get various messages like these. It was ok before 9am as I could access my account and since then  there as been nothing. I love the messages from BT 'we will contact you at your email address'

Today unable to access my BT email from my Chromebook

Hi, I am unable to access my 3 x email accounts. I enter user/password but received this message 'Unable to verify the information provided' Its annoying and it also means I'm unable to access any help from BT.  I've changed my main password but no help.However, my BT email via my android phone is working, slow but working. HELP
