Hi Team.
I swapped from BT FF900 Halo3 to EE Gigabit Essentials on 2nd April.
I set it up on EE's website, got the anti-slamming letter/email from BT and on the 2nd got a text from EE saying the broadband is ready. I connected up the EE smart hub plus, got my first bill from EE and everything on that side is fine.
However...my BT account is still live. Nothing's changed (except it tells me I'm out of contract, whereas before I had 3 months to run) and there's info about my next bill!
My copper landline number is also still live (I took broadband only with EE). Also no request to return the BT hub. I assume it doesn't work like this?! I expected the BT account to shut down same day EE's was activated.
Ta in advance.
Mark.
As you are now an EE customer, you need to post on their forum for help.
Its going to take up to 30 days for your BT account to close, with a final bill being produced.
Thanks
Ah thanks Keith. I just assumed it would be an immediate closure. If it's up to 30 days, it's only been 6.
Ta,
Mark.
