BT Smart Hub 2

Can a SH2 give speeds above 500mbps on WiFi?  I’ve read a few places it’s isn’t capable.

From reports no, probably about 400-450. Can your devices get 500 anyway?

Hey yea getting 500 on a 900 plan on WiFi. 

they are sending a SH3 after a battle, they should be auto sending these new SH3 routers when you are in a 900mbps plan imo

In line with all the other ISPs BT do not guarantee wireless speeds at all.

All they guarantee is the speed to the hub, not the speed to the devices so if you are getting the 900Mbps minus some overheads at the hub then BT are fulfilling the contract even with the Smarthub 2 which can handle 900Mbps on a wired connection. 

You may find better speeds with the Smarthub 3 but do not bet on getting 900Mbps.

It can deliver 866Mb/s BUT...wireless is half duplex (compared to wires, which is full duplex).

What that means is that it is really 433 upstream + 433 downstream.
