Broadband upgrade not working - help

Hi

thank you for the information.  I really appreciate it.  I’m not unwilling to do the connections it’s just our  I.T dept are always telling us not to do anything without them, they are quite fanatical.   So I will telephone my I.T dept on Monday and ask for their permission 

Mean time I've been able to borrow a lap top and can now connect using my phones data, that B.T have given me. 

So for now I can now get round it and still  work thank goodness.

Appreciate everybodies help very much though.

Try the PPPoE workaround with the laptop, it won't hurt anything.

It was the router.  Thankfully the engineer had a router with him and it booted up perfectly.  Phew!

Not to get my old Echo dot working!  😂
