I have just connected my smarthub 2 to my fibre modem - the instructions said “use the red ended ethernet cable - could someone kindly confirm the spec. for this cable - I used a yellow cable, will it make a difference? - I did not have a red cable!

Makes no difference as long as its a CAT 5 fully wired cable.
