Can I do BIOS Updates without getting an engineer to my house?

Been having connectivity issues and not sure whether updating the BIOS of the routers would help. Found the page for it on the BT website but the hyperlink for the next step doesn't work. 

Any suggestions to go about changing this would be appreciated.

you can't manually update the BT hub firmware it is automatic process  just need to maintain hub is connected 24/7

Which router is it and what is the current version of the firmware?

trust me do not do this it wont work the router will be updated automaticity these manual ones are most like used for a borked modem and even if you outer is borked just ring for a new one 

isps supplied routers are not user updateable

if you try this and it fails and you break the modem you could be charged
