So BT's own website shows that my apartment can get FFTP speeds after typing Postcode & selecting my address, and other providers have offered me these speeds too. However, trying to process the order with BT, it says that's not available to me when I reach Checkout.
Chatting to support online they tell me it's not available to me. So what's going on?
What does the checker show https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL
"There is no data available for this number"
Use your address if the number option is not working.
It says it's available for my address, however, it says it's a "Single Dwelling Unit Residential OH Feed with no anticipated issues" - only my place is an apartment block of 4 apartments.
Try calling the BT fibre team 0800 587 4787 to see if they can explain and help with ordering it.
Hi @PortuGeezer and welcome back.
It's been a long time but great to see you again. I'd be interested to know how this is going. Did the FTTP team help with this?
Cheers
David
Well, yes & no.
I was contacted by the BT Twitter team who started digging around for me...
At some point when the apartment was built 12 years ago, 2 different addresses were made for our apartments. One address is not quite correct (the one I'm on), and the correct one is where the FFTP is available.
So I have been advised by the Twitter Team to create a new account with my correct address and order the Full Fibre Broadband, then when it comes closer to being finalised, BT will sort out my original account.
We will see where this rabbit hole takes us. To be continued...
