I was asking about the tacks being pushed into my door frame, and the cable being run along the door frame.
The frame is slightly damaged and I can no longer sand and paint it in that area, as I'd planned to do in the spring, without risking damaging the cable.
No issue with the cable being tracked to the wall. But to put it on the door frame, is that not bad practice? Now Openreach would need to come out if I repaint and damage the cable, or decide to buy a new door and frame, which is a strong possibility as the person that lived here before had the property repossed and the door was damaged from forced entry.
