Cost of Engineer to fix LOS

Hi,

We are having renovations done and concerned about snapping or breaking the fibre cable. We live in centre of Bristol. Is there a cost for an engineer to come out? And if so what is the rough cost of it? If there is a breakage, how much do they need to replace? Can you diagnose if it's a break in the internal cable or exterior cable to the house?

Thank in advance for any help.

@timvanellemeet

It would be Openreach that do any repairs, and the cost would depend on how much damage was done, but a minimum of £130 would be a good starting point.

You can ask them to relocate their equipment, but this would be more expensive.

You may have to pay for a survey, but that cost is normally deducted from the final charge. You will have more choice about where you want things relocated to.
