Damaged fibre optic cable

Can any one tell why it takes by openreaxh so long to fix a damaged fibre cable?

the cable was cut nearly 4 weeks ago by Thames water contractors and still nothing has been resolved the service is utter **bleep**.

have been with out internet or phone for nearly a month will be lucky if I have a business left at the end of this.

Are BT your provider ?, this is a BT Consumer forum, Openreach are effectively a separate company …it’s upto your provider to chase their supplier.
